WREN

Welcome Home!
This gray beauty was rescued in 2022 out of a Oklahoma killpen. She got all the way to the east coast with a larger group of mustangs, and was destined for a happy ending with a private home. Alas, it was not to be. Soon after, it was discovered she was pregnant, and in the cold of winter, too early, she had complications; a red bag, a turned babe, and a dead foal. The vet said she couldn't have been more than 3 yo at the time, too young to be safely giving birth. She was hospitalized and it saved her life, but all was just too much for this wild soul. Following her physical recovery, gentling began, but it would not "stick." One disaster after another, and with some concern for the mare's safety as well as the many children who are in that barn. The home has worked tirelessly but the mare will not tame. So they began, many months ago, to find a safe haven for her. Selling her would have been easier, but this is a very kind family and even as they got one NO after another, they persisted.
The story of the young mare and the kind humans touched our hearts, and we KNOW this beauty, now Wren, will be happy at Rosemary Farm. And we know you believe. We are so very proud of our community, our horse loving, mustang loving, wild soul loving family and know that you will help us, help her thrive.
