Board Commitments
All Board Members agree to the following commitments annually during their tenure on the Rosemary Farm Sanctuary Board of Directors. As you consider joining the Board, please review and let us know if you feel any item is inappropriate or presents a hardship for you.
Participation in board meetings
I will prepare for, attend and actively contribute to/participate in not less than 80% of scheduled meetings, except in case of family or business emergency (average 2-4 hours per month).Annual Meeting
I will attend the Annual Meeting (in person if applicable), except in case of family or business emergency.Fundraising
I will make a personal financial contribution to Rosemary Farm Sanctuary at a level that is meaningful to me, through one or more donations at the time(s) of my choosing during the year. I will also participate in at least two fundraising activities during the year.Committee or Work Group Participation
I will be an active committee or work group member on two or more projects identified and committed to by the Board of Directors and acknowledge this means I will give varying amounts of additional time to the Sanctuary throughout the year.Promotion
I will actively promote Rosemary Farm Sanctuary by commenting on and sharing social media posts and through communication with my personal and professional networks.Board Development
I will identify at least one viable board candidate or work group participant annually. NOTE: This does not imply the candidate will be nominated or selected for a board or work group position.Uphold Duties
I will uphold the duties of Board Members as outlined in the Rosemary Farm Sanctuary Bylaws and the New York Attorney General’s Responsibilities of Directors of Not for Profit Corporations.Conflict of Interest
I will execute the annual Rosemary Farm Sanctuary Conflict of Interest Policy and declarations.Notification and Response (on-going)
If someone on the Board or Staff contacts me for information, I will respond in a timely and professional manner.
